About Joshua
Hi! I'm a Korean-American film composer based in Los Angeles and a scholarship recipient and graduate of Berklee College of Music. My professional work spans classical training, modern composition, and film music, including collaborations with Red Bull, MFE Sync, and Riot Games.
Beyond composing, I enjoy mentoring students and sharing the practical knowledge I gained through professional experience, academic training, and global collaborations. My goal as a teacher is not only to improve students’ technical skills, but also to help them think creatively and develop a deeper connection with music.

My lessons are personalized for each student, whether you are a complete beginner learning piano for the first time or an advanced musician refining technique, composition, or music theory. Lessons may include piano performance, music theory, composition, ear training, and creative development.
As a Berklee College of Music graduate and active film composer, I combine strong musical fundamentals with real industry experience. My teaching focuses on building solid technique while helping students understand music deeply and develop their own creative voice.
For students interested in music schools or college preparation, I also provide mentorship on portfolio development, auditions, and recommendation letters so they can present their strongest application. My goal is to help students grow efficiently while keeping music enjoyable, expressive, and inspiring!
