Hi, I'm Jose, a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a strong background in guitar performance and music production. I’ve worked on real-world projects in game audio, sound design, and music composition, and I bring that experience directly into my teaching. Whether you're learning guitar, diving into music theory, or starting your first production, I’ll guide you step by step with patience and professionalism. My approach to teaching is structured, goal-oriented, and based on real-world application. I tailor each lesson to the student’s current skill level, interests, and long-term goals.
Each lesson typically includes:
A quick review to reinforce past material
A focused topic (technique, theory, songwriting, or production workflow)
Applied work using relevant tools or exercises
A clear takeaway or assignment to build consistency between lessons
I work with beginners to intermediate players and producers, especially those looking to:
Build a strong foundation in guitar technique or music theory
Start producing music in Logic Pro, Ableton, or Pro Tools
Understand arrangement, mixing, and recording from a practical angle
Prepare for college-level music studies or entry into music/audio fields
What sets me apart is that I bring both academic training and real-world experience from working in game audio and sound design. I don’t just teach theory — I help students develop practical skills they can actually use.
