About Haoran
I’m a musician, producer, and arranger currently based in New York. I studied Contemporary Writing & Production at Berklee College of Music, where I developed a strong foundation in both traditional musicianship and modern production. Right now I’m continuing my work at Columbia University, staying active in performance, arranging, and original projects.
My background started on piano with a classical focus, but over time I moved into jazz, songwriting, and production. That shift still shapes how I work — I care a lot about musicality, not just sound. Whether I’m producing or teaching, I’m always thinking about how something feels, not just how it looks in a session.

I’m offering music production lessons for people who want to get past the point of just knowing a DAW and actually start making music that feels complete.
I studied Contemporary Writing & Production at Berklee College of Music and I’m currently continuing my work at Columbia University, with a focus on writing, arranging, and production. Most of what I care about in teaching is helping people understand how music works in practice, not just in theory or software.
The idea is simple — instead of giving you a set of steps to follow, we work through your ideas together and shape them into something real. Whether you’re starting from scratch or sitting on unfinished projects, the goal is to help you develop a sound and actually finish what you start.
