• 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

  I've been drawn to music for as long as I can remember-even before I could speak in full sentences, I was humming and singing along to songs in complete gibberish. Music has been a constant presence and passion throughout my life. Naturally, as a vocal coach, my favorite instrument is the human voice-it's powerful, expressive, and endlessly unique.

• 2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

  Definitely lo-fi music, especially instrumental tracks without vocals (ironically). There's something incredibly soothing about it-it creates the perfect ambiance without overwhelming the senses. Lo-fi Studio Ghibli soundtracks, in particular, are pure magic. I can listen to them on repeat for hours and still feel calm and inspired.

• 3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

  Every student's journey becomes more challenging as they grow, and I tailor each course to match their pace and commitment. As they progress, warm-ups become more advanced, repertoire more complex, and the technical demands increase. It's incredibly rewarding to guide them through that evolution and witness their growth, especially when we hit those breakthrough moments.

• 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

  In my opinion, the voice is the most intricate instrument to master. With external instruments, you can see and physically manipulate what you're doing. But with the voice, everything happens internally. Singers must master pitch, breath control, tone, placement, resonance, and emotional expression-all while protecting the vocal cords. It's a beautiful, complex instrument with no visible keys or strings to guide you.

• 5) What are your keys to success?

  Staying present and consistent. I believe real success comes from showing up every day, doing the work, and staying grounded in the moment. The future is unpredictable, but what we do right now is what shapes it. Focus, patience, and intention-those are my guiding principles.

• 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

  I'd love to meet BTS, Amy Winehouse, and Aretha Franklin. BTS inspires me with their artistry, discipline, and the way they blend vulnerability with creativity. Amy Winehouse had a voice like no other-raw, rich, and full of soul. And Aretha Franklin? She's the epitome of vocal mastery and emotional power. I'd just love to sit with them, talk music, and absorb their energy.

• 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

  Music is the soul's way of communicating. The deepest emotions that even words can't convey are felt through music. That's why I so dearly love music.

• 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

  I show up fully for each student, every single lesson. I know that hour each week is precious, and I strive to make it as impactful as possible. Whether it's tailoring exercises to their vocal type, offering encouragement at just the right moment, or helping them uncover a new layer of expression-I'm all in. That commitment and attention to detail, I believe, makes all the difference.
