About Kartik
Hi! I'm Kartik, a graduate from UC Berkeley with a double major in Computer Science and Data Science with an emphasis in Natural Language Processing.
While at Berkeley, I was the head TA for Data Structures and TA'd Introduction to Computer Science (both classes over 2000 students). I taught Python and Java extensively during my tenure. Overall, I taught for 4 semesters at Berkeley.
I have authored a 200+ page textbook on Data Structures.
I have significant experience teaching Computer Science and Mathematics at both an introductory as well as a more advanced level.

I believe in helping student fundamentally get over misconceptions. This means
1. Understanding the basics
2. Going over common mistakes/problematic thought processes
3. Practicing tough problems together
I do teach anywhere from a beginner to an advanced level and based on the student's level will tailor the lesson to focus on certain components.
Typically I like to let students drive the lesson and if not I'll have a backup plan to build a strong foundation.
These classes can be for anyone from elementary school to graduate school.
