About Carmen
Young students in French immersion programs often find themselves needing extra support to keep up with their class expectations. Completing my Licence en Enseignement du français at UQAM provided me with the formal tools to teach effectively. I spent 5 years developing a specific system to help my students improve their written and spoken skills.
My methods focus on practical listening practice, complex liaison and nasal sounds, and advanced grammar. I also assist with conversational fluency, vocabulary building, and business French to ensure you feel confident. This is the simple way to handle the language journey so you can just focus on talking.

Starting our first session is surprisingly less intimidating than sitting in a silent classroom. I offer free access to my vocabulary and grammar notes because I want you to have 8.0 level resources at your fingertips immediately.
My background at UQAM informs how I break down these tricky topics into manageable chunks for you. We will tackle specific phonetic challenges together to refine your accent and clarity.
My 5 years of teaching give me the ability to pivot quickly when a concept is not clicking. You can expect a relaxed environment where we work through the structure of the language together. I guide you through the process rather than just lecturing at you.
