I'm driven by a passion for learning and the sciences, which I hope to pass onto my students. I've always been fascinated by the natural world and how we understand it, and so I've been interested maths and biology from a young age.

I prefer to take a conversational approach to teaching, with a mix of guided problem solving and visual aids to help students build confidence in their learning. As well as keeping students engaged, it helps me identify weaker areas of their understanding, so that we can work through learning challenges together.
While studying for masters degree, I was asked by my professor to train and mentor a new PhD student we had in our laboratory. I helped show him the ropes, as well as determine what he needed to learn and guiding him as he caught up. Over the course of my time with him, I helped him learn fundamental aspects of molecular biology, as well as the practical side of working in a laboratory.
In my previous job as a healthcare industry analyst I was entrusted with training one of new starters, which involved teaching her how to research, plan, and write analysis articles for our clients. Through regular meetings where we reviewed and discussed ideas, I taught her key analytic and researching skills.
