About Dainora
I am a piano and music theory teacher holding a PhD at the Royal College of Music, where my research focuses on online piano teaching for young learners. I also hold an MA in Music Education from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and a BMus from Goldsmiths, University of London.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching a wide range of students of all ages and abilities, preparing them for graded exams, school performances, and auditions, as well as organising annual student concerts in London.
My teaching approach is tailored to each student’s goals and personality — from creative, informal methods such as songwriting and improvisation to structured exam and audition preparation. I aim to make every lesson enjoyable, engaging, and suited to the individual’s pace and musical interests.

My lessons are designed to be both structured and inspiring, helping students develop strong technical foundations while truly understanding the music they play. I believe that learning the piano is not just about reproducing notes — it’s about developing musical awareness, creativity, and independence.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals and learning style. Beginners are guided through clear steps that combine practical skills with music theory in context, while more advanced students explore interpretation, style, and performance techniques. I often integrate theory in practice, so students learn why music works the way it does, not just how to play it. Ultimately, my goal is to nurture confident, independent musicians who enjoy making music both at and beyond the piano.
