About KEn
I have 20+ years as a software developer and 5 years as an instructor. My software experience includes positions at the New York Stock Exchange, in banking, defense, and retail.
For the last 5 years, I’ve taught classes and tutored in Software (Python, Java), AI, and high school math. My students have ranged in age from 9 to 80.
Long before I did any professional tutoring, my first student was my mother. She went back to college and needed help with math. I learned some basic probability to help her do well. Since then, I’ve been the go-to tutor in math and computer science for friends and relatives. I used to be free. :)

Students will learn the core fundamentals of programming languages so they are knowledgeable consumers of AI-created code. This aligns with AP-level proficiency.
Students will be assessed, and lessons may be recommended to solidify programming fundamentals. Additional programming concepts will be taught in the lessons.
We will also focus on defining clear functional objectives for the software. Equally important, the code must pass tests to prove it meets requirements—this is known as acceptance criteria.
Students will use AI prompt-engineering techniques to create complex, professional software, which will be specified and tested as discussed above. Program debugging will be taught with best practices for fixing code using AI prompt engineering. Students generally find their productivity—measured in lines of quality code—goes up by many times using this approach.
Student code will be stored in their own GitHub account.
