About Gina

When I was 18, I bought my first set of turntables and taught myself to DJ — before there were tutorials online. 20 years later, I’ve built a global career performing everywhere from LA to Ibiza.

I’ve held residencies in the biggest clubs in Los Angeles, played fashion shows for brands like Nike, and opened for artists including Snoop Dogg, Dom Dolla, and Nora En Pure. Today, I tour internationally and perform both DJ sets and live electronic sets featuring vocals, looping, drum machines, and original music.

I’ve played on almost every setup out there and I can teach you how to mix any genre.

Teaching is one of my passions. For the past five years, I’ve been helping students worldwide learn to DJ — from total beginners to touring artists. Nothing makes me happier than seeing students grow into confident performers.

Find out more about Gina

  • When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

In high school I fell in love with dance music and immediately wanted to DJ. I bought turntables, taught myself (it felt like it took forever!), and by 25 DJing was my full-time job. It’s been my passion and career ever since.
  • Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

I listen to a lot of house because it’s what I produce. I also love hip-hop, jazz, reggae and more! I really appreciate all styles, and I enjoy teaching across all genres.
  • Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

It depends on each student’s goals and how far they want to take it. My most advanced course focuses on developing a signature live performance style, performing your own music live with Ableton along with live looping, FX, vocals, and improvisation. It’s about going beyond beat-matching into storytelling, crowd connection, and truly owning your sound and stage presence.
  • What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master, and why?

For me, it's been the voice. Learning to sing confidently and control tone, timing, and emotion, especially while performing live, has taken years of training. Now my tracks with my vocals are being played by the biggest DJs around the world, and it feels worth every year of persistence.
  • What are your keys to success?

Consistency and authenticity. Never stop, stay true to your sound, and don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. The magic happens when you follow your own unique vision
  • Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favorite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

One of the best shows I’ve ever seen was Daft Punk in Australia in 2008, they’re true innovators, and I’d love to talk creativity with them. I’d also choose Pharrell, he has music in his DNA, and I’d love to understand his creative perspective. And Fred Again, not only super talented, but he seems like the most down to earth person to hang out with.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

Right out of music school, I spent two years in Ableton experimenting with different genres and learning how to find my own sound. I made hundreds of tracks during that time, and I still listen to them because they remind me of that first creative spark when everything felt new and exciting. That period taught me that curiosity, consistency, and play are what shape an artist.
  • What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

I bring a real-world, modern DJ perspective and personalized guidance you won’t find in a tutorial. I help students build their own style instead of mimicking others, and I focus on confidence, performance energy, mindset, and artistic identity. I’m patient, supportive, and I love mentoring new artists. I stay connected with many of my past students and follow their careers. Watching my students grow and succeed is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me.
