About Simren
I’m a second-year BCom student at the University of Pretoria, majoring in Economics. I’ve always enjoyed working with numbers and problem-solving, and I understand how important it is to have a strong foundation in Maths from a young age.
I’m patient, approachable, and enjoy finding different ways to explain a concept until it makes sense to the learner. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because I believe confidence plays a big role in learning Maths. My goal is to make Maths feel less intimidating and help each learner realise that they are capable of improving.

I create fun, interactive Maths lessons tailored to each learner’s individual needs and level. I break concepts down into simple steps and use clear explanations, practical examples, and engaging challenges to make Maths easier to understand. Whether your child needs help with schoolwork, struggles with a particular topic, or wants to strengthen their Maths foundations, I adapt each lesson to suit them. My lessons focus on understanding, problem-solving, and building confidence rather than simply memorising formulae. I teach in English and aim to create a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing their skills at their own pace. My lessons are aimed at prep-school learners who want to feel more confident and capable in Maths.
