My classes are for kids, teenagers, college students, adults, complete beginners, and anyone who has looked at a violin and thought, "That can't be too hard..." (it is, but we'll make it fun).
A typical lesson involves learning proper technique, reading music, improving rhythm and tone, and playing actual songs you enjoy—not just mysterious exercises written by composers who have been dead for centuries. Want to prepare for ABRSM exams? Great. Want to learn movie themes, pop songs, church music, or that tune stuck in your head? Also great.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student. I believe mistakes are part of the process, squeaky notes are a rite of passage, and every student learns differently. My goal is simple: help you become a confident musician while having enough fun that you actually look forward to practising.
