I have trained in dance since I was 5 (ballet, modern and contemporary) and am now a professional dancer. I have been a ballet teacher in Switzerland and Santa Barbara and I am currently teaching and performing in the Bay Area.
The classes I offer vary from what your needs are and the location (studio or home) of the class.
If we rent a studio for your class, we would probably start with a warm up on the floor, which is followed by exercises at the barre, and end with exercices in the center.
If we work in your home with limited space, what I offer isn't a traditional ballet class but:
- exercises to build strength and flexibility
- ballet exercises that space and flooring allow
- tips on technique
- help with vocabulary as I speak French
- and more according to your needs
I am looking forward to dancing with you!

Perfect! We had a wonderful experience with Lena. She was very kind, patient, and professional. In one lesson, she was able to clearly identify exactly what my daughter needed to work on. It was clear she is very knowledgeable and attentive as an instructor. We truly appreciated her time and expertise and would happily work with her again in the future.
Perfect! Ms. Léna has been a wonderful influence & ballet instructor for our daughter. She is extremely knowledgable, patient, & kind. Our student has ADHD and Ms. Léna helped us to identify techniques to improve her ballet skills, but also her ability to pick up choreography & combinations in the very first class. She has been such a calming & inspirational voice for our student during a fairly trying time for our young dancer. We have seen a LOT of improvement in the weeks we've spent with Ms. Léna & look forward to continuing to work with her. Truly a lovely dancer & teacher.
- It's been lovely working with Michael's daughter who is looking to improve her technique over the summer and transition between schools. I am looking forward to seeing her grow and hope she will find a school that fits her needs.Léna's response :

Perfect! Lena was very professional, nice, and experienced. She observed where my daughter does well and not so well. Lena corrected my daughter’s postures, arms, and alignment. It was a great lesson! We surely will have more lessons with Lena.
- I am glad to be working with Iris who is a motivated, dedicated and talented young dancer. I am looking forward to see her grow in her precision and artistry.Léna's response :
Perfect! She is very good at communicating with my girl, so their class goes well. Also she is very punctuate !
- The student logged in on time and stayed until the end. It isn't easy to stay focused on the screen at such a young age and I hope to teach her in person one day.Léna's response :
Perfect! Lena has very good ballet technique and is a very good instructor. We did a lesson over Skype. Would like to continue taking classes with her.
Perfect! Ms. Léna is a wonderful teacher! She gives very clear advice and is a kind person. I not only felt like I was getting quality teaching from someone who really knows her technique, but also like I was spending time with a friend I could laugh with. She is very encouraging, too! I definitely recommend!
- My first class with Gabrielle went very well! She is motivated, willing to learn and interested in all comments and advice I can give her. She knows what she wants to focus on, what goals she is reaching for and with that in mind we have an easy time setting a class that is most helpful for her. It was overall a great experience and I am looking forward to future classes with Gabrielle!Léna's response :
