About Laura
My name is Laura and I am a dance teacher and freelance dance performer.
Originally from Sardinia (Italy), I started my professional training at Accademia Internazionale Coreutica in Florence (a professional ballet and contemporary dance conservatoire), where I obtained my Diploma in both Ballet and Contemporary Dance in 2012.
I then attended my BA Hons Degree in Contemporary Dance (2012-2015) at London Contemporary Dance School. During this time I obtained my first teaching jobs, as well as some amazing dancing experiences as a performer, performing at Sadler's Wells theatre and working with a wide range of international choreographers.
After graduating I was offered a contract to join CaraBdanza Dance Company, a neo-classical and contemporary dance company based in Madrid, Spain. After two years as company member I have been promoted soloist, then principal dancer. I really enjoyed performing all the productions (including Nutcracker and Alice in Wonderland) around Spain and Europe!
Alongside my job as a performer I also started teaching ballet and contemporary dance in Madrid. I have been teaching kids, adults and vocational students. I enjoyed choreographing for schools as well as the company dancer, my very first choreographic work won the first price at 'Certamen Internacional Danza Rivas' in Spain!
Inside CaraBdanza Dance Company I occasionally taught company class/stage warm-ups and covered as a ballet master and rehearsal director. I helped organizing international auditions and master-classes for young dancers. I also took part in different workshops as a guest teacher in Italy, Spain and UK.
After returning to London in 2020 and taking a break from performing, I currently teach ballet, modern and contemporary dance to a variety of students: adults, young kids (including special needs) and vocational full-time students. This year (Fenruary 2022) I obtained my Master Degree in Professional Practice - Dance Technique Pedagogy with a research focused on psychological approaches in dance class.

Originally from Italy where I trained in Ballet & Contemporary Dance at Accademia Internazionale Coreutica (Florence), I then Graduated from London Contemporary Dance School (BA) and Middlesex University (MA). I have experience as a choreographer, professional dancer (mostly CaraBdanza Company - Spain), ballet master, assistant rehearsal.
I currently teach Ballet, ISTD modern and Contemporary Dance to a variety of students, including kids and vocational full-time students.
With more than seven years of teaching experience with all levels of ballet and contemporary/modern dance, I am always ready to improve and challenge my practice with an open mind. Besides technique and musicality, I pay special attention to the psychological and emotional side of dance: my class becomes a safe place to express ourselves and let our artistic identity flourish!

Laura is the best dance tutor I have ever had. She gave me private classes before my audition to drama school in London, which I passed. She is very lovely and of course talented and patient. I highly recommend her!
