About George
I have had a long-standing passion for history and humanities in general ever since I was a teenager. After finishing high school, I decided to study history and sociology as these were my favourite subjects in school. I have always been interested in history with regard to how we understand the past and especially how people in society relate to the past in order to understand the present. I find this aspect of utmost interest especially because history has an important role in creating an identity, state-building, and understanding how countries develop and ultimately how we shape our understanding of the past with contemporary conflicts and socio-political issues. Thus, history for me is not just a subject but a passion that originates from a deep personal interest.

I prepare my lessons according to the goals and interests of my students and I always ensure to make my lessons more interactive and fun. If it is for an exam, I ensure to check the exam board requirements and I always enquire about what they have done in class. Moreover, I provide homework at the request of the student in accordance with the time and commitment of each student. For my students who want to learn for fun, I ensure to provide a lot of intriguing facts and knowledge that most interests my students just to make the lessons more interesting and interactive - much like a discussion - where I encourage my students to express their opinions as well.
