About Shane
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music with a focus on vocal performance, and I’ve spent over seven years helping singers grow their voices with confidence. My teaching style balances structure and creativity, allowing students to learn while feeling supported and inspired. My experience includes training children, teens, and adults across various styles including classical, pop, and contemporary. I believe in adapting my approach to meet each singer’s pace and passion. No two voices are the same, so lessons are always personal, flexible, and goal-oriented. Beyond teaching, I remain active as a performer and vocal coach in community productions and recording sessions. I draw from real-world experience to keep my lessons practical and meaningful. Each lesson begins with foundational vocal warm-ups and breathing exercises aimed at developing control and vocal health. Beginners start by understanding pitch, tone quality, and vocal placement. Intermediate sessions shift focus to vocal dynamics, range expansion, and clear articulation. We explore different vocal registers and introduce techniques like vibrato, phrasing, and sustaining long notes with ease. Lessons include genre-specific exercises—from classical to pop—designed to match student interests and musical goals.
Advanced learners dive into performance preparation, stylistic interpretation, and emotional delivery. Sessions include live practice scenarios and feedback on expression, timing, and stage confidence. Whether preparing for an audition, live show, or just singing for joy, I guide students to own their sound with confidence and technique.
