About Matthew

Hello,my name is Matthew, I am a medical student with a bachelors degree in both chemistry and spanish. In highschool, I graduated in the top 10 of my class, earning a 1470 on the SAT. With my lessons, I will guide you on learning new material, understanding topics that prove to be difficult, and show application of the material to the outside world, because it makes no sense to learn something if it has no use. With my help, I guarantee that you will be able to confidently say you understand and can apply the material.

About the lesson

My Lessons will be structured first on content instruction, followed by review and application. Each new lesson will have a review portion to ensure understanding of the material. The majority of the lesson will be education, explaining new concepts and how they relate to prior lessons and outside application, which builds interest in the subject. The last portion will be practice with the newfound material, time for the student to ask questions on the new topics and suggest material that they want to learn for the next class. I will end the lesson by providing some optional practice for the student to do between lessons. I can teach any material related to chemistry, biology, spanish, and mathematics. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I work to get students involved in the tutoring process, thus guaranteeing engagement and acquisition of new material, while also giving students autonomy.

Perfect! Matt is tutoring my son in chemistry, and he has been exceptional. He comes to each lesson fully prepared, with well-organized materials and a clear lesson plan tailored to the specific topics my son needs help with. He even prepares homework worksheets with practice problems to reinforce learning between lessons.

So far, Matt has been incredibly helpful in reviewing difficult topics and preparing for exams. I am confident that my son will continue to benefit from Matt's deep knowledge of chemistry and improve his grades as a result.

I highly recommend Matt to anyone seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and supportive chemistry tutor.
