About Lisa
Born in Paris, Lisa is a professional cellist with a franco-russian background and has been playing the cello for more than 15 years. She learned from the earliest age with the Suzuki method in France and finished the complete cycle of studies in the Aix-en-Provence Conservatoire with the Diploma for Musical Studies (DEM). She is regularly performing with various orchestras in France and UK the greatest symphonies (Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Mahler...). She has experience in teaching even the youngest children (aged 7 years old) and is happy to teach cellists in the making of all ages and levels. She has obtained her TOEFL in addition to her language studies back in France, speaks fluently English, French and Russian.

Lisa adapts her lessons to the student's level and goal, which can be discussed during the first free lesson. At any level, the lesson is about making music and getting the fun out of the technical frame. She likes to introduce beginners to music from the same joyful and light approach with folk songs and easy tunes that are included in the Suzuki method books. For more advanced students, a more technical approach can be considered, by setting up a routine from the first lesson including scales, arpeggios, double-stops, bow exercises, challenging studies adapted to the level of the student to accomplish regular progress, towards repertoire pieces and duets with the pupil. The main focus is to make progress at the student's pace and to have a good time by making music together :)
