About Jun
My name is Jun, I'm a current Bachelor of MedSci student who is keen to be your next and final English tutor.
I have been a tutor for over 8 years specialising in helping students of all levels and capabilities improve in essay writing and understanding texts. I know books, plays and poetry you read in class can be extremely perplexing to understand a lot of the time, I'll save you the stress and you might catch yourself enjoying it too.
I'm the opposite of a "Beat around the bush".
- If you feel like you are one of those people that just don't get English, I will help you play the game; find the little tips and tricks to get you across the finish line with a smile on your face. - - If you want to really improve and polish up your English skills and make them even better than they are already, I'll push and support you to be even better.
I personally sat the HSC in 2018 where I obtained Band6 in EngAdv and E4 in EngExt1. I specialise in essay writing and structures where I've helped many students find a groove they didn't know they could reach.
Besides tutoring, I also worked as a Cadets Instructor in the rank of 2nd Lefttenant in the Australian Army Cadets where I was a mentor and supervisor of around 75 students between Yr7-12 for over 2.5 years. If you are looking for a tutor and a mentor, you've found the right person.

My approach to each student is different and unique.
I take several factors into consideration before determining the best method to develop my student; Personality & Characteristics, Ability to Interpret & Analysis and Application Capability.
I consider every student no matter their current abilities to be capable of high potential in the subject of English. The stereotypical ethos behind how English is taught in school does not allow individuals to flourish and I would like to provide this unique opportunity.
I have over 8 years of tutoring experience where I have developed students of all capabilities and predispositions. If you or your child has had trouble finding 'the right tutor', I would encourage you to have faith one more time in me.
You will find that my approach is unconventional to the standard tutoring as I focus heavily on discussion with the student to verbalise our understandings as well as setting them homeworks of songs, movies or literature which will enhance their understanding.
I believe it is critical to build up the individual around the student. Broadening perspectives and opening students' minds to the wider world is an under-emphasised point in standardised teaching of English.
I specialised in Essay Writing development and Text Interpretation & Analysis.
Shakespeare, Dystopian texts, Complex Poetry are all staples in my specialty.
I accept students of all levels and capabilities between Yr7-12. Whilst I usually average 1-1.5hr lessons with students under Yr10, students above Yr10 and approaching their HSC are encouraged to take 2hr lessons to maximise our time in class.
