About Laura
I have a bachelor in economics and marketing and am currently studying my masters in secondary teaching at Melb uni. I finished VCE in 2013 at St Catherines with a score of 94.86 and economics score of 47 at St Catherines School. I have tutored economics and math since 2015 and it influenced my choice to pursue teaching as a career after finishing my first degree.

My experience has taught me that one of the most fundamental elements to a students success is their confidence. Many students I have tutored are fare more capable than they believe, and once they are able to recognise this, their grades simultaneously improve. Moreover, economics can be a little dry to some, and being able to have one on one debates - where we implement the theory into practical day to day life scenarios, can help the student engage.
I also create my own practice sacs as an extra before school sac dates based on the past exam questions. These are there to try and cover with the student as many possible questions that may come up. This allows for the student and I to work through as much content as possible but also to teach exam answer structures relative to marks.

If the travel time is more that 20 minutes the cost is 70 per hour, or the student can come to me, or do session every second week that go for two hours.
