About Siegfried
I'm a Bachelor of Arts from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, specialized in oil painting. I have been a Teacher Assistant of both human figure painting and interdisciplinary cross painting (that is, the relationship between painting and drawing, photography, film, etc.); as well as Work Production Workshop (where students are helped to find their own line of work).
As a student, I excelled in courses such as painting I (still life), painting II (human figure), human figure painting, sketch drawing and drawing I and II, portrait drawing, analog photography, art history and aesthetics. I graduated with two votes of distinction and, among my exhibitions as a visual artist, I had an exhibition in my house of studies.
As an assistant professor, and in the words of my students, I stood out for always being attentive to their questions and needs, for creating a relaxed and warm atmosphere, and also for the great management of the area I teach.

My methodology is, in the first place, to look for what the student is interested in and to start from there. The first thing is to teach the basics, explain what the materials are, what they are made of, why you need them (always with alternatives adapted to each one's budget). From then on, as a teacher I will be orienting the student not only in the plastic work that he is doing, but complementing his knowledge through what is relevant to his work: for example, speaking about art history or showing them artists; teaching basic drawing techniques as a basis for oil painting.
It is important to note that I adapt to what the student prefers in terms of relationship and environment: there are students who prefer a quieter space, others a relaxed conversation. I think it is very important that the student feels comfortable and always look for the way to do it.

Details
In general, drawing, painting or watercolor classes require 3 hours in a row to reach enough progress with the student and not leave the learning process halfway. Therefore I recommend sessions of 3 hours (with breaks between half an hour in total, without charging them), which is what the university level classes of these subjects usually last, the latter being the character of mine's.
