About Zoe
I have always had a deep passion for language and literature, and love tutoring because I can share my knowledge and passion with students who need extra help or guidance. I achieved high marks in both HSC Advanced and Extension English in year 11 and 12, as well as in all University English and Linguistics courses in my Bachelor of Arts/Languages degree at ANU. For me, tutoring is sharing the skills and knowledge that helped me achieve high marks, while also letting the student discover what best works for them. Each student is unique, and focusing on the strengths and interests of the individual is the best way to improve confidence and as a result, achieve higher grades.

I help students learn by increasing their confidence with practice and reassurance. I focus on helping improve the individual difficulties that each student is having and therefore lessons are tailored to their specific needs, but I can guarantee that regardless of the student, my approach is always friendly, patient and supportive. Typical techniques I use include proofreading and suggesting edits for pieces of writing, brainstorming ideas, highlighting their strengths, and focusing on the individual interests of the students. Typical length of a lesson is 1 hour and can also involve study and organisational skills if requested. I have 4 years of experience tutoring high school students but am interested in tutoring students of all ages and levels.
