About Bruno
I'm a professional cellist, singer, and improviser with a BA degree in Music Performance from the University of Southern Mississippi, where I studied on a full scholarship and graduated with honors. I won the 2013 Carlos Gardel Award (Argentine equivalent to the Grammy Awards) for the best album in the category "Instrumental - Fusion - World Music", and I have a longstanding career as a recording artist. I have performed with many orchestras in the US, Brazil, and Argentina, being principal on various occasions. I have more than 15 years of experience as a teacher, both in my private studio and at institutions like music schools, conservatories, and school orchestras. I also have run workshops at festivals in Colombia and Argentina, and I am currently a cello professor at three different school orchestras.

The content of the lessons can vary depending on your interests. Some students choose the traditional recipe of academic repertoire + scales, exercises, and etudes while others prefer a more song-based approach, developing their skills on the spot. Either way, I will provide you with practice material, creating it especially for you when necessary. I find it vital to teach a healthy technique, using improv as a tool to keep the work fun and interesting. I focus on healthy practice habits and posture, applying the guidelines on muscular care provided by specialized health professionals I have encountered during my career. I love to explain the mechanics of cello playing in a precise yet accessible way, going beyond precooked formulas and imitation and handing you the concepts of how things really work. As the rest of the arts, music is communication. I like to tap on my experience in acting and singing to help you find what it is that you want to say and give you the tools to convey your message. All this in a dialogue with the composer's ideas, reached through the knowledge of music theory, analysis, and historical context.

There are no words to describe the excellent, the quality and talent of Bruno as a musician, person and instructor in just 3 months I have been preparing the udicion for the Orlando School of Arts and was the only one of his school that I achieved stay with one of the few espacion offered by this school. I have been taking cello lessons for almost three years already and took me a while to find the right cello teacher. Fortunately, I was so lucky to come upon Bruno, since he is the best cello teacher I know. He loves what he does, and that is why he is so committed to keeping students motivated, inspired, and willing to take on challenges.
Bruno shares all his wisdom and expertise openly, he always ensures that his students understand and learn his teachings. His teaching method is highly recommended for all ages as he is able to deliver his understanding of music theory irrespective of his audience. Bruno is also very capable of perfectly teaching cello techniques to his heterogenous students, as he adapts each class to the student before him. However, if I had to pick his best quality as a teacher, it would be his ability to disrupt traditional teaching methods, as he encourages students to write their own music, encouraging me to embrace the cello in an inspired, personalized way that allows me to express myself. Bruno points out problems to be solved with kindness and patience, paired with undisputed diligence and attention to detail, which is his hallmark as an exceptional cello instructor.
