About Tess
I am an enthusiastic Singing tutor with 20 years of teaching experience dedicated to helping students grow through music. I teach School students, College students, and Working Professionals who want to improve their singing abilities, build confidence, and deepen their musical knowledge.
My teaching approach is based on personalised instruction, encouragement, and continuous improvement. I take time to understand each student's goals and learning preferences before creating a lesson plan that suits their needs. This helps learners stay motivated and achieve steady progress.
My classes cover vocal warm-ups, breathing exercises, pitch accuracy, rhythm development, vocal expression, tone quality, and stage presence. I use practical learning methods, guided practice sessions, and performance reviews to help students improve effectively. Students receive regular feedback to support their development.
Besides Singing, I teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Vocal Coaching, and Performance Skills. These related subjects help students gain a deeper understanding of music and strengthen their overall performance abilities. I also focus on vocal wellness and effective practice strategies.
My goal is to inspire students to enjoy learning and express themselves confidently through music. Through dedication, patience, and expert guidance, I help learners achieve success and develop a lifelong passion for singing.

My Singing teaching methodology is designed to help students achieve their goals through flexibility, creativity, understanding, and effective time management. I believe that clear goals, consistent practice, and positive guidance are the keys to successful vocal development.
I start by identifying each student's objectives and current skill level. This allows me to create a personalised learning plan that supports measurable progress and long-term growth.
Creativity keeps lessons engaging and inspiring. Through song projects, listening activities, vocal exercises, and performance practice, students develop both technical skills and artistic confidence.
My lessons focus on breath control, pitch development, rhythm accuracy, diction, tone quality, vocal expression, and stage confidence. Students learn how to apply these skills in practical singing situations.
Understanding and support are important parts of my teaching approach. I encourage students to overcome challenges, develop resilience, and celebrate every milestone.
Time management ensures that lessons remain organised and productive. Every session includes technical training, song work, feedback, and progress tracking.
Besides Singing, I can teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Vocal Health, Sight Singing, and Performance Preparation. My objective is to help students achieve their musical goals while enjoying the learning process.
