About Isaac
Studying Classics at Durham has been a great source of enjoyment and satisfaction to me. Through learning Latin and Greek and being immersed in their literature I have found that learning ancient languages can be demanding, but the benefits really outweigh the difficulties. Not only does this learning process mould you into a driven student, it also opens you up to the atmospheres of the cultures you study, which is impossible to attain through simply reading translations.
I'm an avid reader of English Literature, and believe our writers have given us a wealth of content to feed upon. Some of my favourite portions of the literature are the English and German romantics (Shelley, Keats, Coleridge, Wordsworth, and Novalis and Fouque) and the classic nineteenth century novelists.
My favourite hobbies are motorcycling and being in the university Taekwondo club!

The lessons will consist of pre-planned content determined by what the student needs to learn beforehand. I will have a rough plan of the lesson (digressions will inevitably happen) and I will go through key concepts and exercises.
Homework will also be set to consolidate the information and internalise lesson content. The lessons will typically be an hour long, but this can be extended to the pupils preference. Having studied my taught subjects up to A level with A grades I believe these lessons will be extremely profitable for the pupils.
