About Devon
Hello! I Graduated with a Creative Writing Minor in 2022. I also published a short story collection with eight short stories and seven vignettes. I am an ex-editor for the Student Newspapers at both UCCS and PPSC, my two alma-maters. I also published five short stories several small publications including The Mad River.
In total I've written over 50 short stories and one novel.
Currently I am a videographer who specializes in pre-production (script-writing and planning). So, my writing skills are used daily in my profession with my clients.
I want to teach so I can pass on the skills I've learned and because I love talking about stories and writing so much so that my family is getting tired of me talking about it so much.

My teaching method is to reach you where you are at.
Meaning I am going to learn what you like to read and what you like to write and then cater it towards what you need.
The one constant with every student is that I ensure the student reads and writes and get's out of their comfort zones. Writers read. And writers also write. And not everything you read and write is going to be comfortable. The brain is a muscle. And muscles need workouts to grow. We will focus on expanding your horizons while reaching your goal, so you can pass that test, finish your story and excel in writing and reading.
The lessons are straight forward and simple with measurements to grade progress.
