About Amani
I am a 27 year old Australian, who grew up with my family in French speaking Switzerland. I studied International business with French and Italian at University in London. I have an aptitude for learning languages, although French is my specialty. I love travelling and learning about other cultures, and have taught English in Brazil and New Caledonia. Since returning to Australia in 2016 I have continued studying a graduate diploma in Anthropology and been a French tutor on the side. I have a passion for languages and love sharing this passion when I tutor students in French.

The way I work as a tutor is by incorporating multiple learning methods into my lessons. I structure the content of my lessons based on the level of French of my students and tailor the lessons based on their overall learning objectives. The first half of the lesson is based on new vocabulary and grammar, followed by exercises that incorporate learning about the new content. I then use the concepts covered in the first half of the lesson to structure some speaking and pronunciation exercises. The second half of the class is based on real life topics in French, either we watch a small french video clip or read an excerpt from a newspaper and discuss the topics covered and any new vocabulary. Finally, I end my classes with a fun game/ learning activity which helps to further ingrain the content covered in the class. I also like to give some extra homework which will usually involve listening to french music or watching a French film.
