About Augustin
Hi! First of all, something important when you want to tutor a particular subject: I really enjoy Maths, Physics and Science in General. To be able to graduate from one of the top French engineering schools in Paris, I had to go through a 5 years intensive program which involved studying a lot of Mathematics/Physics, and I mean a lot!
What's more, I have been a Maths/Physics tutor for 4 years (for Primary and High School students), and I always felt grateful seeing my students making progress, as I genuinely thought I was doing something meaningful.
After working as an engineer within a major construction company in Sydney for 2 years, I am now changing my career path to become a full time private tutor.

Hi! After working as an Engineer within a major construction company in Sydney, I am currently changing my career path to become a private tutor on a full time basis. All my previous students in France and in Australia have made great progress throughout my teaching program. My biggest achievement was to be able to make one of my previous students enjoy Maths when he first hated it, resulting in him going from the bottom 5 up to the top 5 of his class. I am always available to assist even outside of a lesson as I am genuinely passionate about teaching and love helping others.
I am providing online Math/Physics tutoring for students all around Australia and in-home Maths/Physics tutoring for students around Ulladulla, South Coast, NSW. I think a lesson should last at least one hour and a half to allow us to go through a particular concept in detail. Nowadays, it is really easy and convenient to tutor online, which saves a lot of time for everyone, and a lot of CO2 for the environment! :)
My vision of teaching is the following:
-I always consider than my students don't know anything about a concept I am about to teach, as there is no way to progress without having a strong understanding of the basics. Asking the students to explain me the concept allows me to assess their knowledge and spot their weaknesses. I always make sure to link the know to the unknown as it helps the students build up confidence as we advance through the course.
-I believe in differentiated teaching as each student is different and needs a unique approach of teaching to be able to progress thoroughly.
-I am always happy to share a laugh, as I did not want my previous tutors to be boring either!
I am available most days, week-ends included, and very happy to offer you a first lesson of one hour, for you to assess whether or not I deserve to be hired for the job.

I found Augustin online & it's worked out really well. Friendly teacher, brings a great energy to the sessions and he clearly enjoys the work. I'm not a huge fan of Maths in general, hence need for a tutor, but he's made the sessions enjoyable and I'm already getting better results.
