️ONLINE
My only option is to tutor online since I am just outside of Sydney.
However, I can assure you that I am well equipped for online tutoring. I have been tutoring most of my students online, both before and during the COVID restrictions. I have a digital writing/drawing tablet, a microphone, camera and I prioritise student engagement in my lessons above all. By keeping classes private, almost no direct interaction is lost. If anything, online sessions make note-taking, explanations and resource access more efficient.

️EDUCATION
- Studying a Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine in the JMP program with the University of Newcastle and New England
- Studied under the new HSC syllabus introduced in only recently in 2020 at Sydney Boys High, so I understand the content from personal experience.
- Also studied for over one year at UNSW in a double degree Bachelor Actuarial Studies / Bachelor Commerce with +90 WAM. Actuarial Studies is one of the most mathematically demanding courses universities offer.

️TEACHING
PHILOSOPHY: Be more efficient. Be more successful. Learning how to do every type of question with accuracy is far superior to attempting every question inaccurately and haphazardly.
STYLE:
- I will pass on the studying techniques that I have developed across my six years of high school. My goal is to provide students with the knowledge of HOW to study. To succeed, students must know two things: the syllabus and the exam. I want to help students understand the course and then apply that knowledge through a smart and diligent practice routine involving exam-style questions.
- I aim to teach ahead of the student's class. That way, students have the opportunity to identify and iron out the creases in their weakest areas of study - a freedom that our schooling system often does not afford to students.
- For my students to excel, my teaching is adaptive. My style and pace will always prioritise the student's needs. While my goal is for students to learn the content ahead of their peers, I will spend more time on topics they find difficult and provide extra revision in preparation for exams.
STRUCTURE:
Depends on the student, but generally, 30 minutes is spent on reviewing last week's homework. The rest of the lesson involves teaching or explaining concepts and then reinforcing concepts through examples. The best way to learn is by understanding the "different question types" that exist, and then practicing those different question types.

️UCAT training
You must learn HOW to learn... I will be honest, it is almost impossible to do well in the UCAT unless you spend multiple hours every week studying for it. You should treat it with more importance than any singular school subject because Med schools will look at your mark for UCAT with equal or greater weighting than all of your high school marks combined. However, this does not mean you should do every question in a question bank aimlessly. You need guidance. I have my own set of questions. I will teach you how to deconstruct every question and identify all of the question types in the exam. Every week, we will study 2 out of the 5 sections in the exam and cycle through all of them. For Verbal Reasoning, I will teach you the tricks needed to read quickly and retain information. For Decision Making, there are sub-sections and I will show you how to identify and answer each section. Quantitative Reasoning is my strong suit, I will teach you how to quickly do maths accurately. Abstract Reasoning is my second best section of the exam, I will teach you the checklist needed to identify patterns within seconds of looking at them. For Situational Judgement, I will show you the underlying principles that guide doctors. I will also supplement learning with exam test taking skills, using the official UCAT mock exams.
INTERVIEW training
I will show you HOW to answer questions using STAR and a SANDWICH method, so you will never be thrown off by the markers. I will show you how to communicate your qualities of communication, empathy, teamwork, leadership and more using in-depth, personal, CONTENT CREATION profiles.

️MORE ABOUT ME
- During my time in high school, I have taken on roles such as being a School Prefect and the Vice-President of the Student Representative Council. I was a debater, basketballer and soccer player across all six years of high school. I thrived on extra-curricular activities, yet I still found enjoyment and fulfilment from being academically challenged.
- Unfortunately, this website's guidelines prohibit me from providing you with a link, however, I encourage you to check my LinkedIn page if you want to know more about me.
• My motto is: Being efficient makes you more successful. Learning how to do every type of question with accuracy is far far superior to attempting every question that exists with inaccuracy.
• Motivation: I love learning. It is one of the reasons why I decided to study medicine. I want to help other students realise how fulfilling it is to discover new things and hone academic skills to perfection through diligent practice. In our current education system, not enough attention is paid to each individual student. I was fortunate enough to be treated well by my teachers at Sydney Boys High School, and by my own tutors. I wish to help the future generation of students to succeed by giving my students the attention they deserve and by teaching them how to learn - an incredibly important life skill.

️CLASS INFORMATION
Times: Class times and lesson lengths are FLEXIBLE to suit your needs
Length: 1 to 2 hr long
-- From my experience, 1.5hr is not too long and not too short for a session. I am happy to reduce lesson length and I will try to supplement this reduced time with more homework throughout the week instead.
-- Some students also prefer to split up the lesson time on different days throughout the week. I am more than happy to accommodate this!
