About Tristan
I am 18 years old and am studying for a Bachelor of Commerce at Melbourne Uni while simultaneously being a part of a VFL program. I am an avid Collingwood supporter and most of my spare time outside of training, uni, and work is spent watching their games or training sessions. I have just moved down to Melbourne after living in Canberra for the better part of 10 years. I am exploring junior coaching roles in Melbourne for AFL and am looking to continue my job as a tutor.

Growing up as an avid footy player I often got restless in the classroom. I found that short sharp sessions (45min-1hr) specifically tailored to the topics my students are struggling with to be most effective in using both my time and their time efficiently. I began tutoring my brothers when I was 15 years old and then started doing some volunteer work for my high school. From there I was privately referred to other students needing assistance and have been tutoring ever since. My lessons are tailored to the individual needs and personalities of my students and are suited for any age or level (through to Specialist Math courses in Year 12). I like to get to know the interests of my students and a bit about them to tailor my teaching style to suit, and if do happen they support Collingwood ...... even better

In 2023, I went from failing basic math classes in Year 10 to looking to study specialist in my senior years thank to Tristan. He helped me to understand the topics in a simpler way than any of my teachers could. His lessons were always engaging and not too long so I didn't get distracted. I found him relatable and enjoyed just having a chat after our lesson. I found him to be a great tutor and was sad to see him move interstate.
