About Sarfraz
Hello, my name is Sarfraz Ameer. I have an academic background in chemistry, a bachelor of education, and five years of teaching and tutoring experience.
Over the years, I have learned that students usually struggle not because they lack ability, but because earlier concepts were never explained in a way that made sense to them. That is why I teach calmly, use simple language, and break difficult questions into manageable steps.
My background in science education allows me to connect mathematics with real situations and explain scientific ideas through familiar examples. I am especially comfortable helping students with chemistry, biology, basic physics, numerical problem-solving, and high school mathematics.
I understand that ASVAB preparation connects to an important personal goal: qualifying for military service and creating more career options. I therefore treat every student’s preparation seriously. Lessons are organized around your current level, available study time, and approaching test date.
I will never make unrealistic score guarantees. What I will provide is careful teaching, targeted practice, honest feedback, and consistent support.
Book an introductory lesson, bring your latest practice score if you have one, and we will identify the best place to begin.
First introductory lesson
The introductory lesson will be used to:
• Discuss your test date and target
• Review your previous ASVAB or practice-test results
• Identify your strongest and weakest sections
• Solve a few representative questions
• Create a practical study plan
Please bring any score report, practice test or list of difficult topics you already have.

Preparing for the ASVAB can feel overwhelming, especially when it has been a long time since you studied algebra, fractions, percentages, or basic science. You do not need to feel embarrassed about what you have forgotten. We will start from your present level and build your skills one step at a time.
My online ASVAB lessons focus mainly on:
• Arithmetic Reasoning
• Mathematics Knowledge
• General Science
• Basic Mechanical Comprehension
• Basic Electronics Information
• Test-taking and time-management strategies
During our first meeting, we will discuss your test date, target score and the sections that give you the most difficulty. I will then use a short diagnostic assessment or review your latest practice-test results to identify the exact topics that need attention.
A typical lesson includes:
A clear explanation of one weak concept
Guided ASVAB-style examples
Practice questions completed with support
Timed independent questions
Correction of mistakes and a short revision plan
For Arithmetic Reasoning, we can work on fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, proportions, averages, distance and time, unit conversions and multistep word problems.
For Mathematics Knowledge, we can cover algebra, equations, exponents, square roots, geometry, area, perimeter, volume and other high-school mathematics concepts.
For General Science, I can help you review biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, electricity, energy, matter, cells, human-body systems and environmental science.
I do not simply give answers. I explain why an answer is correct, why the other options are incorrect and how to recognize similar questions on your own. My aim is to help you become faster, more accurate and more confident—not dependent on a tutor.
These lessons are suitable for:
• High-school students considering a military career
• Recent graduates preparing for their first ASVAB
• GED holders
• Adult applicants returning to study after several years
• Students retaking the ASVAB to strengthen their math and science scores
• Learners who need patient, judgment-free explanations
Whether you need to rebuild your foundations or polish specific weak areas before test day, I will help you follow a focused and realistic study plan.
