About Lilly
Please bear in mind that I am still in college and am not yet a certified teacher, but I have more than 50 hours of working as a teacher through classroom experience. I am also a minor in English, have always loved taking advanced English classes, and have written a book that is being published. I have also taken three years of Spanish courses and two years of Latin, which have helped me to understand how Latin-originating languages are formed. I have also always had a great connection with elementary students and have had lots of positive feedback from the students I have taught.

I'm an aspiring elementary teacher for grades K-6, so although I am not a professional yet, I have many hours of experience in the classroom as both a teacher and a student. I believe that there are many tiers to learning a subject. I believe the very bottom tier of learning begins with memorizing information, and the very top tier, which demonstrates mastery, is the ability to create things from what was learned. For example, I believe that teaching students how to pick the right words when expressing themselves first begins with teaching them vocabulary terms to memorize and then graduates to learning word formation by having students understand where words come from to open the door to having students create their own words and better understand new words, thus expanding their vocabulary and laying the foundation for learning a new language while mastering English. Of course, this is a random example, but ELA is my strength.
