About Beatrice
Bea is an intuitive abstract artist, lighting designer, art facilitator and creativity coach originally from Italy, based in North London (UK). She is trained as an architect and currently dedicating part of her creativity into her job as a lighting designer for architecture, art shows and cultural environments.
Creativity, Lighting, Mindfulness, Art and Design thinking are her main disciplines through which she investigates visual perception and human psychology. In 2020, she founded Meraki mindful painting, a community co-created with other creatives that help people to discover and nurture their creativity through mindfulpainting sessions. Her creative work involves painting her own abstract artworks, building Meraki mindful painting community and she is passionate about supporting multi-passionate creatives and artists to bring into life their creations, paintings, projects and practices.
As a creative coach her aim is to create a safe space for her clients to experiment with the ideas they are willing to explore. She helps them to gain clarity and then momentum when building up their work. By helping them develop a healthy mindset and sustainable creative practice she helps to overcome blocks and support their unique creative process.
In January 2020 I’ve founded with my Anna (artist and architect) and Giuliana (mindfulness and meditation teacher), Meraki mindful painting, an abstract art workshop which combines creative practice, abstract arts and mindfulness to experiment new ways of expressing ourselves. Our intuitive abstract painting workshops offer multisensorial experiences that aim to connect individuals’ creativity to their physical body and soul.
What I enjoy the most about teaching abstract painting is sharing my passions and creating new meaningful connections.

My painting artwork starts from creating colors taking inspiration from memories, travels or photographs and intuitively applying them into the canvas, letting the painting grow and transform in its own skin.
My approach focuses on the process letting creativity to flow freely, finding new ways of expression along the path. By dropping the expectations on the final outcome of your painting, I will guide you to find and trust your own painting voice, in a bold and fearless way.
The topic of each lesson can be tailored depending on the student's needs.
I usually structure it as follows:
- Theoretical introduction to get to know the theoretical basics and feel inspired
- Abstract art session
You will learn:
- How to start your painting
- Basics of Abstract Art
- Simple and effective techniques to break your creative blocks
- How to read your own painting
- How to keep making art at home
Lessons can be held in English or Italian.
