Hi, I’m Bella — a Melbourne-based artist and art tutor with over 10 years of experience in the creative industries. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Art (VCA, Melbourne Uni) and a Master of Design with Excellence (UNSW), and I specialize in supporting VCE and IB Visual Arts students with folio preparation, concept development, and practical skills across sculpture, ceramics, video art, and more. I teach because I genuinely love helping people tap into their creativity and grow their confidence. Whether you're aiming for top marks, applying to art school, or simply want to explore your artistic voice, I’m here to guide you through a process that’s enjoyable, sustainable, and tailored to your goals.

Hi! My name is Bella and I’m a practicing artist and dedicated art tutor with over 10 years of experience in the arts. I specialize in teaching Visual Arts to students of all ages, with a strong focus on Year 11 & 12 students undertaking the VCE and IB Visual Arts programs. Based in Melbourne, I offer both in-person and online sessions tailored to your goals and artistic journey. Lessons typically last 2 hours and we will focus on an area of your choosing, taking you through research processes, art portfolio/visual journal documentation and of course the art making process! I hold a Bachelor of Fine Art (Sculpture and Spatial Practice) from the Victorian College of the Arts (University of Melbourne) and a Master of Design (with Excellence) from the University of New South Wales. My academic path has been grounded in both conceptual depth and practical skill, having topped my classes in Studio Art and Visual Communication Design during high school. My areas of expertise include: * Folio creation and presentation (how to get an A+ on your portfolio, documenting your process and how to photograph your work) * Research practices (fill holes in your research, understand the context of your work and participate in idea generation techniques) * Ceramics (technical knowledge, troubleshooting, throwing on the wheel and more) * Curation (understanding flow, balance and lighting in your exhibition) * Soft sculpture (sewing techniques, making interactive artwork, sewing machine troubleshooting) * Video and performance art (basic editing, lighting and using CRT TV’s) * Found object and mixed media sculpture (finding in Melbourne, safety and how to make with any material) Whether you're building a folio for assessment, applying to art school, or simply want to deepen your personal creative practice, I offer mentoring that supports not only technical skill development but also critical thinking and artistic identity. I believe art is a lifelong practice, and I’m here to help you find your voice, sustain your creativity, and make art that truly matters to you.
