About Michael
Michael Klein is a private dealer and freelance and independent curator for individuals, institutions and arts organizations. He is a highly regarded writer, curator, and program director. He served as the first in-house Curator for the Microsoft Art Collection based in Redmond, Washington between 1999 and 2006 directing art acquisitions, commissions, collection management in-house exhibitions and an education program for the company’s 50,000 employees. and has been the executive director of the International Sculpture Center based in New Jersey. Klein has been a regular contributor to Sculpture Magazine in addition to writing reviews and feature articles for Art in America, ARTnews, Artnet and (concealed information) Impact Wealth, White Hot Magazine and BrainZ He has presented public lectures across the US and has served as adjunct faculty to SVS, The New School, Kean University, Western Carolina University and New York University

The topic of Modern and contemporary art will be divided into three sections: Beginning with Impressionism will explore the life and careers of the artists of this movement and then in the second section follow the growth and change of the Modern movement from the turn of the 2oth century to the various art movements in Pre and Post WWII movements in Europe, the US and Asia. The last part of the course focuses on the art from 1970 to the present
Lectures and discussions supplemented with readings films and documentaries.
