About Steve
Since 1988, I have led my own variety show type orchestra in various incarnations. After graduating from Berklee College in 1985, I began as a jazz recording artist under the guidance of Carla Bley and Steve Swallow. After Carla introduced me to legendary producer Hal Willner, I spent the next 35 years on projects that he helmed until his passing in 2020. Mostly working as an arranger and musical director, but occasionally as composer too. The long list list of artists I had the pleasure to work with include Sting, Elvis Costello, Marianne Faithfull, Todd Rundgren, and Børns, who I am currently working with.
