About Cara
Biology often appears as a collection of disjointed facts when viewed through a textbook lens. I started teaching because I realized that grasping the underlying logic matters more than rote memorization. Working with 108 students over 6 years has refined my ability to explain evolution and natural selection with precision.
I cater to GCSE and IB Biology students by stripping away the unnecessary complexity from human anatomy. Premed students benefit from my ability to frame physiology within the broader context of clinical practice. AP Biology students frequently struggle with the technical nuances of mitosis and meiosis.
I provide clear pathways through these dense topics while maintaining a focus on exam technique. My background at Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons informs every explanation I offer. I enjoy the process of turning confusion into competence during our sessions.

Students frequently hit a wall when they encounter abstract genetics and inheritance problems. We start by sketching out the biological processes during a live walkthrough to demystify the sequence.
I bring 6 years of experience to every session to help you anticipate the trickier sections of your exam. We examine past paper walkthroughs every session to build your stamina for the real test. You will learn to approach biological drawing and complex physiology with a sense of calm.
My method helps students develop a rhythm that holds up under the pressure of timed testing. It is helpful to treat these lessons as an ongoing conversation about your progress.
