About Ella
My name is Ella Simpson and I am a twenty-one year old media studies graduate from Leicestershire.
I absolutely adore all avenues surrounding the topic of media studies, especially the content that is taught at a GCSE and A-level grade. This passion has led me to pursue this field academically, and now, I'm eager to share my knowledge around the subject as a tutor and future teacher.
During my time at school I was aided by a tutor for multiple subjects which helped me excel throughout my exams by increasing my knowledge and giving me the confidence to tackle certain questions. I therefore understand the value of personalised support and am committed to providing this same encouragement to my own students.

I am a first time tutor after having recently graduated university. I have always had a passion for teaching and am currently working within both primary and secondary schools to progress within the industry.
As a tutor I will adapt my teaching based on my pupils. Sessions will usually be an hour and occur once a week however this is adaptable based on the preferences of both the pupil and parent/ guardian. The first session will be at a reduced rate in which I understand what the pupil (or parent/ guardian) wants from me. This will include discussing the areas of the subject they struggle with, where they want their focus to lie, how they prefer to be taught and what they wish to achieve through our sessions. This will also be an opportunity for the pupil to get to know myself and what I believe will be the most effective method of teaching for that student to learn.
I can teach both GCSE and A-level content, having access to all exam board criteria.
