About Aziz

I am a licensed architect in Ontario with a 5 year work experience at an award winning office in Toronto with experience in mixed-use projects at a variety of scales in all phases from schematic design to construction.

I also like to participate in architecture design competitions in my free time addressing topics that I am interested in and in unique locations (such as a movie pavilion in Iceland and a Development Center in Zambia)

I hold a masters degree in Architecture and a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. I was also a teaching assistant for a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses including design studio, structures, computation and representation.

I enjoy the challenge of tutoring and sharing my knowledge and skills with professionals and students in any topic related to architecture and design.

About the lesson

Classes will be tailored based on your needs and goals.

They can include any of the following themes:
- Architecture and urban design projects critiques (professionals and students);
- Design concepts, precedent analysis and research resources (professionals and students);
- Software classes and/or troubleshooting: Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, SketchUp, Vray, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator (professionals and students);
- Technical understanding of architectural systems, construction assemblies, passive design solutions, structural systems (professionals and students);
- Graphical representation (professionals and students);
- Portfolio critique and organization (professionals and students);
- ExAC tutoring (professionals);
- Job application strategies and resources (students);

Classes will be live on Zoom (with potential in person arrangements in Toronto).
Concepts and critiques will be explained using a tablet and pencil.
