About Devansh
My journey into architecture began with a fascination for the ways built environments influence human experience, behavior, and culture. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Arch in Urban Design, providing a foundation in design principles, structural planning, sustainability, and conceptual thinking. Over the past 8 years, I have guided students of varying ages and abilities, helping them understand how spaces function, inspire, and communicate ideas effectively. My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, creativity, and exploration, with a focus on connecting conceptual knowledge to hands-on practice, allowing students to develop confidence in both thought and execution.
I take pride in tailoring lessons to each learner’s unique style and goals. Beginners receive structured guidance in foundational skills such as drawing, sketching, and proportion analysis. Intermediate students are encouraged to explore advanced design principles, model building, site analysis, and sustainability concepts. Advanced learners engage with portfolio development, presentation refinement, complex project planning, and professional critique, ensuring that every learner progresses at a pace suited to their capabilities. Throughout, I provide constructive feedback, encourage experimentation, and foster a supportive environment that balances technical rigor with creative freedom.
Beyond teaching, I remain actively engaged in architecture through research on sustainable urban planning, contemporary design trends, and technological tools such as BIM software. I also participate in collaborative projects and design workshops, bringing real-world experience into the classroom. This ongoing involvement allows me to provide students with practical, contemporary insights while nurturing their creativity and design judgment. Teaching architecture is profoundly rewarding because I witness learners grow from tentative beginners to confident designers capable of conceptual thinking, technical execution, and thoughtful critique. Helping students discover their creative potential and develop a personal design voice is the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

Lesson content is adapted to the learner’s level. Beginners develop skills in sketching, proportion, basic composition, and conceptual thinking. Intermediate learners explore site analysis, model creation, digital drafting, structural understanding, and sustainable design strategies. Advanced learners tackle complex projects, portfolio development, presentation techniques, and design critique. Each step is carefully scaffolded to encourage independent thinking while building confidence, reinforcing both conceptual understanding and practical skills.
Architecture lessons also foster creative reasoning, observation, and problem-solving skills.
