About Finn
My passion for architecture grew during my Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, where I explored the interplay of creativity, structure, and function. Over the past 6 years, I have dedicated myself to teaching students to develop strong design skills, creative thinking, and spatial understanding. I have worked with learners at all levels, providing guidance that is patient, structured, and motivating.
I believe learning architecture is most effective when students are guided through step-by-step exploration of concepts, supported by practical exercises and real-world examples. My teaching style emphasizes clarity, patience, and encouragement, helping students build confidence in expressing their ideas visually. I also focus on cultivating creativity while instilling essential design principles and technical skills.
Outside of teaching, I continue to explore architectural trends, urban studies, and innovative design techniques to enrich my lessons. I also practice sketching and project planning, which allows me to bring fresh perspectives to students. Teaching architecture is extremely rewarding because I witness students grow from hesitant beginners to confident creators capable of translating their ideas into meaningful, expressive designs. Helping them develop a balance of creativity, technical skill, and confidence is the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

Architecture lessons become engaging and practical when students learn to transform abstract ideas into structured designs. I focus on building a clear understanding of design principles, spatial planning, material application, and visual communication. Lessons start with fundamentals such as balance, proportion, and sketching techniques, helping students feel confident in their ability to represent ideas visually. I use practical exercises and step-by-step explanations to make complex concepts approachable and to encourage exploration.
As students develop skills, I introduce more advanced topics including model building, urban planning basics, interior spatial design, and presentation techniques. Each concept is reinforced through guided exercises, critique sessions, and constructive feedback. I ensure students develop both technical precision and creativity, creating a strong foundation for long-term design skills. Lessons are tailored to match individual learning pace, promoting both confidence and mastery.
Architecture lessons also foster observational skills, creativity, and critical thinking. Students learn to see and interpret spaces around them and to express ideas clearly through visual representation. Over time, learners develop both confidence in their creative abilities and a disciplined approach to design. My goal is to make architecture understandable, enjoyable, and inspiring while equipping students with the knowledge and skills to succeed in academic and professional environments.
