About Ayla
My passion for architecture began with a fascination for how thoughtfully designed spaces influence people’s experiences and daily lives. This inspired me to pursue a B.Arch in Urban Design, where I developed expertise in spatial reasoning, sustainable practices, and creative problem-solving. Over 11 years of teaching, I have guided learners from basic design principles to advanced project execution, helping them cultivate confidence in their abilities.
I emphasise a teaching style that blends patience, structured guidance, and creative freedom. I carefully observe each student’s approach, providing tailored advice that strengthens both their technical skills and their creative expression. Through sketches, models, discussions, and feedback, I ensure students gradually develop an independent and critical design perspective.
Beyond the classroom, I remain engaged with architecture through research, sustainable design projects, and exploration of contemporary architectural trends. Teaching architecture is deeply rewarding because I witness learners grow into thoughtful, expressive designers capable of translating vision into tangible spaces. Supporting their creative journey and helping them discover their unique design voice motivates my work every day.

Architecture lessons are designed to help students cultivate both creativity and technical precision. I focus on guiding learners through spatial planning, design principles, form and function integration, material understanding, and environmental context. Lessons emphasise hands-on exploration with sketching, conceptual modelling, and critical discussions. Students learn to translate abstract ideas into coherent and functional design solutions, fostering a sense of creative confidence alongside analytical thinking.
Beginners start with fundamental sketching, understanding proportions, spatial awareness, and basic conceptual exercises. Intermediate learners expand into advanced drawing techniques, structural reasoning, circulation planning, and contextual analysis. Advanced learners engage in full project development, portfolio creation, and presentation refinement, learning to articulate design decisions confidently. Each lesson incorporates feedback, reflection, and iteration to strengthen both conceptual understanding and practical design skills.
Studying architecture nurtures observation, problem-solving, and design sensibility. Students gain the ability to critically evaluate spaces, think innovatively, and develop a personal design identity. My goal is to empower learners to combine creative vision with technical expertise, preparing them for both academic and professional success in architectural disciplines.
