About Mark
My passion for architecture stems from a lifelong fascination with spaces, forms, and the way design shapes human experience. I earned a B.Arch, followed by an M.Arch in Sustainable Design, where I studied architectural theory, design innovation, and environmental approaches. Over the past 10 years, I have mentored students in developing creativity, technical skills, and confidence in expressing their ideas. I teach with patience, encouragement, and adaptability, ensuring every learner feels supported in exploring and refining their creative potential. I use sketching exercises, conceptual discussions, and stepwise design strategies to help students internalise architectural principles and develop a unique design perspective. Outside teaching, I stay connected to architecture through urban studies, sustainable design research, and personal projects. Teaching architecture is deeply rewarding because I witness students transform abstract ideas into clear, compelling visual expressions while cultivating discipline, creativity, and confidence.

Architecture becomes engaging when students learn how ideas evolve into meaningful, functional spaces. In my lessons, I guide learners through design principles, spatial planning, visual communication, conceptual modelling, material understanding, and project organisation. I emphasise both creativity and technical precision, helping learners balance imagination with practicality while developing strong design reasoning. Lesson content is tailored to each learner’s level. Beginners focus on sketching, basic composition, spatial relationships, and idea generation. Intermediate learners explore advanced drawing techniques, model-making, structural logic, and material application. Advanced learners focus on design presentation, portfolio development, architectural narratives, and project refinement. Every lesson encourages exploration, critical thinking, and structured creativity. Architecture lessons also cultivate problem-solving, observation, and innovative thinking. Students learn to articulate ideas visually, develop spatial awareness, and refine their creative voice. My goal is to help learners develop a confident, disciplined, and expressive design approach that serves their long-term academic and professional growth.
