About Freya
WHY I WANT TO TUTOR: During my studies, I often found the demands of my architecture degree overwhelming—especially during deadline season. I faced challenges in understanding what was required, how to approach tasks effectively, and whether I could truly meet the high expectations. It became clear to me that I wasn’t alone in feeling this way; many of my peers struggled with similar uncertainties. I want to help students navigate these challenges and excel in their architectural journey. Tutoring provides an opportunity for me to share the knowledge and strategies I’ve gained, offering guidance and support that I wish I had during my own studies. I strongly believe that knowledge should be shared, and I am committed to creating an environment where students feel empowered, confident, and capable of reaching their full potential. Architecture is hard, from understanding briefs to tutors' comments and finally figuring out how to get it all done. LENGTH OF LESSON: 1 Hour. QUALIFICATIONS: completed the degree, tutored students at the AA Summer School and Central Saint Martins since graduating in June 2024. APPROACH: consultation about any struggles you're currently facing within an architecture degree. This can be anything from: research, layout, graphic style, software [Rhino, SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop], design and concept, presentations, generally help to ascertain what is going on in the minefield that is an architecture degree at any stage within the undergrad degree [year 1,2,3]. I aim to provide help with students with clarity and plan on how to get as much sorted as possible when faced with deadlines.
