About Lainey
My interest in architecture began with fascination for spatial design and structural creativity. Over nine years, I have guided students from foundational concepts to advanced design execution, nurturing creative thinking, technical skill, and professional confidence. Witnessing learners produce innovative designs and gain self-assurance is deeply fulfilling. My teaching philosophy emphasizes applied learning, conceptual exploration, and fostering independent and imaginative thinkers. I focus on personalized instruction, iterative design, and reflective practice. Lessons adapt to student abilities and interests, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and critical evaluation. Challenges are reframed as opportunities to develop design intuition, analytical thinking, and resilience. Outside teaching, I explore contemporary architecture, sustainable design, and innovative modeling techniques to enrich lessons. Teaching architecture is not merely instruction—it is about cultivating independent, creative, and analytical thinkers capable of transforming concepts into practical, innovative, and visually compelling solutions.
