About Sarah
As an architectural designer with experience in set design and a background in interior design, I am driven by a strong desire to teach and share my expertise with aspiring designers. Guiding students allows me to inspire their creativity, nurture their skills, and help them discover their unique potential. By bridging theory and practice, I aim to empower students to create impactful and visually stunning spaces. Teaching is not only a way for me to pass on knowledge but also a chance to foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment where students can freely express their ideas and grow as designers. The field of architecture requires a unique blend of creativity, technical knowledge, and critical thinking. As a mentor, my approach to teaching architecture focuses on cultivating these essential skills while nurturing the individual's personal growth and professional development. I believe in fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment that encourages exploration, experimentation, and self-reflection. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge, practical exercises, and real-world experiences, my mentoring approach aims to inspire and empower architecture students, highschool students and designers to reach their full potential.
My main foundations for mentoring are; establishing a foundation, encouraging creative exploration, developing technical competence, fostering critical thinking, cultivating professionalism and exposing to real-world experiences.
I have a Masters degree in Architecture with 3 years of experience in the field as well as 3 years of experience in the film industry designing and detailing TV and movie sets.
The typical length of a lesson would range between 45mins to 1.5 hours.
