About Lakshita
I'm an architect and visual artist and have recently completed my master's in printmaking from the Royal College fo Arts.
I enjoy working with children and have experience in taking craft lessons and workshops for underprivileged kids in my neighbourhood under an NGO focusing on after-school sessions. I've taught printmaking and have taken sketching trips over the years.
In addition, my design thesis was based on proposing a space for children in their community and through that process I created craft-based games to promote interaction to help understand the nature of spaces they needed in the neighbourhood.
I believe that basic creative lessons for children aged 8-15 can mould the way they look at their environment significantly! I had a chance to be part of such lessons at that age and it made me enthusiastic about learning architecture and design.

1. Printmaking basics and history of techniques, craft-based sessions to explore common materials. Special emphasis on linocut, cyanotype, monotype and screen print (ages 8-15 )
2. Design basics; Spacial exercises, and design challenges to understand the basics of load and structural decisions. Learning from existing structures around their neighbourhood with an emphasis on contemporary architecture in and around London
(ages 13-15).
