I begin by assessing the learner's current understanding, identifying their strengths and areas for improvement. I then challenge them with a problem suited to their level, such as designing an algorithm, guiding them through the process while emphasizing key concepts and contextual understanding.
If the learner encounters difficulty with a specific concept, I adapt the session to focus on that area, deepening their understanding before returning to the problem. I prioritize making sessions student-led: for programming tasks, I encourage learners to discuss their thought process, approach the problem independently, and I provide hints to guide them on the right path.
