About Maya
I earned my M.S. in Physics from the University of Washington and have tutored physics and Thermodynamics in Seattle for 6 years. I also served as a research assistant in UW’s fluid dynamics lab, which enriched my quantitative tutoring approach. I hold a Washington State Teaching Credential in Physics and am available weekday mornings and weekend afternoons. Outside tutoring, I volunteer as a STEM outreach coordinator, leading interactive physics demos for local school groups.

I teach Applied Physics by fusing core theoretical concepts—kinematics, energy conservation, Thermodynamics—with hands-on, quantitative exercises. We use PhET simulations, Python for data analysis in quantitative physics tasks, and at-home demos to illustrate energy transformations. Each session includes practice problem sets reflecting AP and introductory college exam formats, followed by detailed walkthroughs to ensure conceptual clarity.
