About Chaya

Graduating with an MS Applied Mathematics from Rutgers University provided a deep technical foundation for the 7 years I have spent teaching. Many students assume they are not math people, but this narrative is usually just a lack of proper sequencing. I work with middle schoolers, struggling learners, college students, homeschoolers, and honors students daily.

My method prioritizes conceptual understanding over simple memorization to ensure the material sticks. Applying these principles helps students gain genuine confidence regardless of their starting point. I cover everything from exponents and radicals to complex polynomials and systems of equations. Rational expressions, completing the square, functions and graphs, and sequences are all part of my regular curriculum.

Linear equations, factoring, and slope calculations round out the core competencies I address. It remains satisfying to see students transform their relationship with math through consistent, rigorous practice.
